Michel Herquet is Managing Director at Yuma
He obtained a master’s degree in theoretical physics from the University of Mons in 2003 and a Ph.D. in particle physics from UCLouvain in 2008 before working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Nikhef Institute in Amsterdam. His research work has focused on large-scale numerical simulations of complex subatomic processes, in particular the hunt for the Higgs boson. He is one of the authors of two of the most successful simulation packages in particle physics, with a total of more than 5,000 citations.
Michel founded B12 Consulting in 2012 after working as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company. His main expertise is artificial intelligence, with a focus on applying this technology for radical innovation in business contexts. He has successfully managed and led hundreds of software development and data science projects in his career and is seen as a trusted advisor by many clients. He is passionate about sharing knowledge and regularly teaches physics, AI and management, both at university and in private companies.
He is also a professional photographer, specialising in portrait and street photography.
